Chris Rosin’s first television
position, after completing her studies in Communications at the University of Massachusetts, was Production Assistant for Boston’s independent station, WXNE. In this role, she wrote Public Service Announcements and local and regional television commercials. She was soon promoted to Associate Producer, where she developed and wrote television shows and provided technical assistance. She also worked as audio engineer, technical director, lighting director and assistant director for both taped and live television programs.

Ms. Rosin left this position after three years to become Senior Producer for Alpha Broadcasting, located in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was responsible for entertainment program development, as well as directing multi-camera live and taped video programming.

Following this, Ms. Rosin made her return to Boston, to hold the position of Production Manager for WCVB TV, the local ABC affiliate, voted the number one television station in the country by the New York Times. She managed two studios, online editing and mobile production unit. She scheduled and managed thirty IBEW professional production employees. Her credits included the Phil Donahue Show, Nightly News with Peter Jennings, The annual MDA Telethon, CityBeat, and Chronicle.

Ms. Rosin then moved on to accept the position of Operations Administrator for WGBH, Boston, the flagship station for the PBS network. She was responsible for managing 50+ NABET and IATSE employees, and participated in union contract negotiations and arbitration proceedings on behalf of Management. She also coordinated multiple studio operations, online editing and location productions. She worked with actors such as Ed Asner, Alistair Cooke, Diana Rigg, Cybil Shepherd and Ralph Waite. Her credits include award-winning productions such as The Boston Pops, Masterpiece Theatre, MYSTERY!, NOVA, Frontline, The Antiques Road show and The American Experience.
